This is Mr Peacock who will be remembered by many scholars of the 40’s and 50’s

Mr Peacock took us for O level and A level history. He was working on a text book at the time and may well have been checking the proofs during an exam or whilst we were writing. It was later published and was used by Alan Gardner (1953) when he became a history teacher and taught in the late 60s. Mr Peacock was not only a fine connoisseur of Georgian glass but took a keen interest in running the Hobbies Exhibition annually. I submitted a Meccano vintage car and Roger Smedley an enormous stamp album.
