Year 1948 Reunion 2006
March 11th at the Enfield Town Club saw the first and very successful 48’ers class reunion organised by Roger Pye. 23 ex 48’s together with 7 partners gathered for a buffet lunch, renewed old friendships and made some new.  The smiling faces, laughter and good-humoured chatter said it all.
They were joined by Reg Rogers (34) Vice-President Trinity Old Scholars Association and Beryl Skinner (Hayter) 42 – Website Editor/Treasurer

In the group, Trinity couples – John and Jean Daniels, who met and married long after they had been pupils and also Barbara and Jack Sharman.

There was disappointment that Rogers Wyles (From Canada) was unable to join everyone due to a recent cataract operation which prevented him from flying, and also Beryl Callow, Hilary Paul (Owen) Janet Ward (Bond) who had previous commitments.

FOOTNOTE
This class reunion is a classic example of the amount of interest there still is in making contact with contemporaries, and the Association encourages reunions of this kind.  But we need CLASS CO-ORDINATORS and we will give anyone all the help we can in getting similar events going. Reg and I were very delighted to be invited to attend – and I personally, was able to renew an old friendship with Jean Dingle who I knew in the late 50’s but never knew that she went to Trinity!

You never know who you will meet.

Thanks must go to Roger for his enthusiasm in organising this event – I know that his fellow Scholars are pleased he did it.
